Xplor and IMERGE Partner for Xplor Document University

Document Production Fundamentals Course to Launch at 2007 Global Conference

Xplor has issued a press release relating to a program I am working on with Bill Broddy EDP, IMERGE principal and industry expert in document composition and production technologies.

IMERGE will launch the Document Production Fundamentals course at Xplor's annual conference, February 28 through March 4, 2007 in conjunction with Graphics of the Americas at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

From the press release:
"The partnership with IMERGE and their participation in Xplor's Document University fills a gap for targeted education at the industry's entry level while providing ongoing development for career advancement," said Skip Henk, EDP, president and CEO of Xplor International. "In addition, the course will allow for functional area cross-training as well as provide education for suppliers who sell into our industry."

The Document Production Fundamentals course will be a two-day course aimed at those who are new to the industry including college graduates, newly hired or transferred staff as well experienced personnel that have not been exposed to related aspects of the document lifecycle. In addition, sales and sales support individuals within the supplier community will find the course valuable as well. The course content will also be offered after the Miami conference through Xplor's regions and chapters throughout 2007 and jointly marketed to colleges as an accredited course.

The two-day course will be developed and delivered by IMERGE principals William Broddy, EDP and Jesse Wilkins, EDP. Mr. Broddy is an EDP Commissioner and currently delivers the EDP Certification Readiness Workshop. He has decades of experience in the document production industry and was recognized as XPLORER of the Year in 2004. Mr. Wilkins holds many industry credentials including EDP, AIIM MIT, AIIM LIT, CompTIA CDIA+ and TAWPI ICP designations. "Xplor International has been a significant contributor and focal point for the electronic document industry and we, at IMERGE, look forward to the partnership, said William Broddy, IMERGE Principal for Compliance Correspondence Business Processes. " We look forward to providing the necessary educational tools that allow our colleagues to advance and thrive in our industry."
