If you know of a webinar or other local/regional event during this period that is focused on IM, IG, RM, etc. that's not listed, let me know here or at jesse.wilkins@athroconsulting.com

If you're looking for a speaker, I'm available to speak at your chapter or event. For more details, see http://informata.blogspot.com/2022/06/im-available-to-speak-at-your-meeting.html; this post also lists a few other speakers who are available and quite good. I published a separate blog about how to find speakers and what to look for at http://informata.blogspot.com/2022/06/finding-speakers-for-your-event-part-1.html.

Re: vendor/consultant-led webinars, I know that demos are quite educational, as are customer case studies - but they are generally too narrow (and self-serving) for me to list them. This is irrespective of source; AIIM/ARMA/MER/etc. webinars that are basically sales pitches won't get listed either. MER Sapient-type stuff, or Access Sciences' webinars, are good examples I'm happy to include. If you think yours will pass muster, contact me at jesse.wilkins@athroconsulting.com and let's talk. No cost to list anything, I just need the details (and for it to meet my criteria for education).

New Article on RM Playbook Now Available in ARMA Magazine

Pleased to note that I've ended my long formal publishing drought with an article in ARMA Magazine, "Build and Sustain Your Records Program with a Records Management Playbook". I'm going to leave it exclusively there for a month or so and then I'll publish it here, most likely in 2-3 parts since it's 3,200 words!

You can access the article on ARMA's website at https://magazine.arma.org/2022/09/build-and-sustain-your-records-program-with-a-records-management-playbook/.

The Information Management Menu, September 2022 Issue

The September 2022 issue of The Information Management Menu, my monthly IG/IM/RM-y newsletter, is now available at https://mailchi.mp/3d3c0b2cf13c/the-information-management-menu-september-2022

This issue features:

  • Announcements from ISO, the world standards organization
  • Calls to get involved from AIIM, InfoAdvocates, NARA, MER, and IAPP
  • More than 20 events around the world including virtual and in-person

However, I did overlook my new feature, an actual recipe! So here's my recipe for barbecue chicken pasta salad. This can be done with salad greens instead of pasta, though in that case I wouldn't dress it until serving. I like using spicy barbecue sauces like Famous Dave's Devil's Spit and a spicy ranch dressing; the last time I made this, I also substituted ghost pepper cheddar!

MER Announces Call for Presenters for MER Conference 2023

The MER Conference has announced its call for presenters to participate in The MER Conference 2023, scheduled for May 24-26, 2023 and returning to Chicago, IL. This year's theme is "Information Governance as a Business Imperative."

I've had the opportunity to speak at a number of MER conferences and they are always fantastic, from the attendee and speaker perspective alike. It's a great opportunity to share your story and your expertise - and to learn from everyone else!

The deadline to submit is October 28, 2022. For additional details, and to access the link to submit a proposal, visit https://www.merconference.com/page/2274435/call-about.
